The Ubiquiti UniFi Switch Pro HD 24 PoE (USW-Pro-HD-24-PoE) is a professional-grade Layer 3 switch designed to meet the demands of modern networks. It features two 10 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) PoE++ ports, twenty-two 2.5 GbE PoE++ ports, and four 10G SFP+ ports, providing a total non-blocking throughput of 115 Gbps and a switching capacity of 230 Gbps. This robust configuration ensures rapid data transfer rates, accommodating bandwidth-intensive applications such as high-definition video streaming, online gaming, and large file transfers.
USW-Pro-HD-24-PoE is engineered with advanced Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities to support modern networking solutions. This switch provides a robust total PoE power budget of 600W, making it capable of powering multiple high-demand devices simultaneously. Each individual port can deliver up to 60W of PoE++ power, ideal for devices such as IP cameras, Wi-Fi access points, and VoIP phones, reducing the need for separate power supplies and streamlining network installations. The switch supports both PoE+ and PoE++ standards, offering flexibility for various use cases.
Advanced Switching Features
Beyond its impressive hardware capabilities, the USW-Pro-HD-24-PoE offers a suite of advanced Layer 3 switching features to enhance network performance and security. These include support for Spanning Tree Protocol (STP/RSTP) with configurable priorities and port-level disable options, storm control, multicast and broadcast rate limiting, flow control, jumbo frames, egress rate limiting, proprietary loop protection, port isolation, and port mirroring. These features empower network administrators to optimize traffic management, prevent network loops, and maintain a robust and secure networking environment.
The USW-Pro-HD-24-PoE incorporates Ubiquiti’s Etherlighting™ technology, which illuminates the ports to indicate port location, speed/link status, and native VLAN/network. This visual feedback simplifies network management and troubleshooting by providing clear, real-time status information. The 1.3″ touchscreen LCD provides real-time system status updates, enhancing user experience and simplifying network management. The switch has an SGCC steel enclosure measuring 442.4 x 400 x 44 mm and weighing 6.4 kg, making it suitable for both rack mount and standalone deployment.
