The Ubiquiti UniFi Switch Flex 2.5G PoE (USW-Flex-2.5G-8-PoE) is engineered to deliver exceptional network performance for both home and business environments. Equipped with eight 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) PoE++ output ports, it ensures high-speed connectivity for a variety of devices, including access points, IP cameras, and VoIP phones. Additionally, the switch features a versatile 10 GbE RJ45/SFP+ combination uplink port, providing flexible options for network expansion and integration with existing infrastructure.
Designed with PoE flexibility in mind, the USW-Flex-2.5G-8-PoE supports multiple PoE standards to accommodate various power requirements. When powered via the 10 GbE RJ45 uplink port with PoE+++ input, the switch offers up to 76W of PoE power to connected devices. Alternatively, with PoE++ input, it provides up to 46W, and with PoE+ input, up to 16W. For maximum PoE availability of 196W, an optional 210W AC power adapter can be utilized, ensuring ample power for high-demand devices.
Advanced Switching Capabilities
Beyond its impressive hardware specifications, the USW-Flex-2.5G-8-PoE offers advanced Layer 2 switching features to enhance network performance and security. These include support for Spanning Tree Protocol (STP/RSTP) with configurable priorities and port-level disable options, storm control, multicast and broadcast rate limiting, flow control, jumbo frames, egress rate limiting, proprietary loop protection, port isolation, and port mirroring. These features empower network administrators to optimize traffic management and maintain a robust and secure network environment.
The USW-Flex-2.5G-8-PoE boasts a compact and durable polycarbonate enclosure, measuring 212.9 x 99.4 x 33.5 mm and weighing 567 grams. Its design supports wall mounting (kit included) and DIN rail mounting (sold separately), allowing for versatile installation options to suit various deployment scenarios. The switch operates efficiently in ambient temperatures ranging from -20 to 45°C with humidity levels between 10 to 90% non-condensing, making it suitable for diverse environmental conditions.
